Program Over View

The XyayX Institute K-12 Youth Enrichment program is excited to offer our community free to low cost educational courses that are aligned with the core-curriculum. Our enrichment courses are designed  available for students in every grade level and range from language arts, mathematics and technology for students in grades K-12. All programs will be taught by certified teachers, instructors and or professionals held at our Brownsville locations. We look forward to meeting and working with you and your children!

We would love to sign up as many student into our program as possible however due to limited availability based on enrollment and budgetary constraints our program can only enroll a limited amount of students. Therefore, we ask if you are interested in attending, please register online from Monday, April 18, 2016 through Friday, May 13, 2016. May 13th is a strict deadline so that we can fully prepare for the summer program. Late registration will not be accepted.

Each week day between 2:30 - 6pm we offer free supplemental enrichment classes.

STEM PROGRAM  

The Engineer's Role and Responsibilities, key terminology & devices, sound & digital theory, the studio layout, Microphones: (Types and Techniques), The Perception of Sound, Signal Flow Analog, Theory Basic Computer Concepts 

  • Science on Sundays - Every Sunday

  • Weird Science Wednesdays - Every other wednesday 

Young Entrepreneurs Club

Twice a month every other Friday our youth entrepreneur class meets. Our student will be introduced to entrepreneurial skills and small business concepts through games, lectures and presenations.

Urban Astronomers Club

Each week our urban Astronomer club gather as a group at night to observe our Universe through the lens of a Telescope. Our goal is to inspire in our youth the desire to pursue a career in Astronomy and physics. 

Basic Self defense and boxing class

Our youth self defense class is great way for children to introduce to martial arts while teaching them practical way to prevent and/or defend themselves against bullying, mugging, fights, drugs.

Program HighLights
  • Our Personnel—Program facilitators are warm and full of love for their students and work. In addition, all of our staff is experienced with working with youth.

  • College/Career based Program content—each of our programs are academically focused and designed to motivate all involved to pursue higher education.

  • Schedule of operation—our schedule is open. All you have to do is set up your new programs work-week.

  • A focused on Business/entrepreneurship: Through the use of written literature, internships, group discussions, and lectures, students will gain knowledge of their respected industry operations
